Swann receives AFL-CIO Endorsement!

On March 20th, 2018, the AFL-CIO's Central Labor Council of Western North Carolina held their candidate screening forum at the local Teamsters union hall on Sardis Rd. Among the candidates to speak were Nancy Nehls-Nelson, Commissioner candidate for District 2, and Taylon Breedon, one of Catori's primary opponents in District 3.

Buncombe Dems Out in Force As Candidate Filing Begins

Democratic candidates took to the Board of Elections to file for candidacy in this year's primary. Among the first five to file were incumbent NC Representatives John Agers, Brian Turner and Susan Fisher, as well as incumbent NC Senator Terry Van Duyn.  First time candidates for County Commissioner were also present to file, including Catori Swann and Taylon Breedon for District 3, and Amanada Edwards for District 2.
